Your memories of the past may have been captured on 8mm, Super 8, or even 16mm film--but if you don't watch these old recordings any more, either from lack of equipment, or from lack of time to set up the screen and projector each time you want to relive your memories, then what use is this film? Wouldn't it be quick and easy to just pop your own personalized DVDs into the player when you want to enjoy your movies?

CDSC offers you the preservation of your priceless memories now stored on film by transfering them to DVD or even VHS, if you prefer. Don't let the past be lost to advances in movie equipment technology. Bring your memories into the 21st century for lasting enjoyment. CDSC uses DVD-Rs estimated to last 100 years, properly handled.

Pricing

The price of each film transfer depends upon the kind of film and number of feet being transferred. Please see our competitive pricing on the chart below. Prices include film cleaning and any necessary leaders, splices, and respools.

Your media cost is additional. A DV tape archive is $7.95, $12.95, or $25.95 depending on your film length. Your archive should be kept in a safe place. It is used to create replacement discs if your Master DVDs become damaged and will ensure the highest quality way to preserve your film transfer if a new format reaches the market. Master DVDs cost from $19.95 to $25.95, depending on your film length. VHS tapes are $6.95 for 60 minutes or $7.95 for 120 minutes. DVD dubs from DVD masters cost $12.85 ea. or less, depending on the length of the DVD and the quantity of dubs ordered.

Special Instructions:

There will be a $20.00 minimum transfer charge for any 8mm film order and a $25.00 minimum transfer charge for any 16mm film order.

Mixed Formats

If your film is presented in two or more formats there will be $2.00 fee for switching between Regular 8mm and Super 8mm. Mixing between 16mm and 8mm will have a $3.00 fee.

Besides DVD, we can transfer your film to VHS, S-VHS, 8mm video, or DV video. There is a $5.00 set up charge for recording to the 8mm or DV formats.

Narration or Background Music and Titles can be added as well, please call for details.
